About ATX recovery Living
ATX Recovery Living began with a simple but important mission: to create a safe, affirming sober living environment for the transgender community. We recognized that transgender individuals in recovery often face an additional challenge—finding a place where they can focus on their recovery without having to explain, defend, or hide who they are.
As our vision grew, so did our understanding of the need within the broader LGBTQ+ recovery community. We realized that the same sense of safety, belonging, and acceptance we wanted to create for transgender individuals was needed by many others as well.
That realization led us to expand our mission.
Today, ATX Recovery Living welcomes LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who are committed to recovery and to creating a respectful, affirming community. Our home is built on the belief that people recover best when they feel safe, connected, accepted, and free to live authentically.
What began as a safe space for the transgender recovery community has grown into a community where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can recover together—and belong.
